I know an hour is a long time for toddlers because I have two. But please understand that the sessions are fun, light, active, and full of games. I used to be an elementary teacher and genuinely love involving the kids as much as possible in the session. I promise you that your favorite photos will be the ones that are taken near the end of the session. It takes time to gain trust, develop rapport, and for everyone to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Toward the end of the session, everyone lets go of their inhibitions and are truly present in the moment. That is where the in-between moments become everything.
What if my kids are energetic, and I am nervous they won’t last the whole hour?
For the best photos, I recommend neutral colors, avoiding distracting patterns, and adding textures for dimension. The best advice I can give is to wear what makes you feel beautiful and the most like you. I have a large Client Closet full of outfits for mothers and children.
