An elegant midsummer night wedding on the Missouri River is a wedding that I have dreamed of photographing. I am so lucky that I get to work with so many laid back and genuinely kind people. David and Chloe were just like that from the moment I met them I was in love with who they were. They brought me in from Sioux Falls to the Missouri River and didn’t give any direction because they loved my work and wanted me to just do my thing. Only ever offering smiles in return. Chloe and her mom’s vision for the wedding was out of this world. The vendor team really was truly a dream and really showcased their talents.
Their day was modern and elegant. The outdoor tent that Ideal Tent Rentals put up really was a midsummer night’s dream. Loghin Welch and Audra from Serendipitous Events had every detail down and made sure it was set up perfectly. The hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour had every guest swooning over the queen herself Cultivated in Love.
The day of the wedding couldn’t have gone smoother. Every detail was so heartfelt, purposeful, and was catered to them as a couple. Getting married in his hometown church, him picking the song she walked down the aisle, and the couple waiting to see each other before the ceremony. It was all about the two of them. Instead of doing a first look, they decided to do a first touch in their empty house that they moved into after the wedding day. Even though their house wasn’t decorated yet, you could feel their excitement of starting this beautiful life together. Chloe works at a newspaper and she even made mockup newspapers with the details of their day that they will remember.
I will forever be manifesting more weddings like this with couples as wonderful as these two.
